I recently had the pleasure of discovering a hidden gem tucked away inside the historic fortress of Jaisalmer. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way. the value for money was exceptional. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of service and accommodation on offer. Secondly, the attention to detail was commendable. From the warm and friendly staff always checking in on me to ensure my comfort, to the spacious and comfortable rooms with stunning views of the castle, every aspect was meticulously taken care of. Lastly, the breakfast was a delightful experience. The variety and quality of the food provided were outstanding, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead.
All was fantastic, no faults to mention.

Excellent value for money in a brilliant location inside the fort. The rooms with fort view are stunning and well worth the price. The staff are friendly and attentive, providing great service and attention to detail throughout the hotel. Breakfast was tasty and filling, setting guests up for the day ahead. I particularly enjoyed the fresh Rajasthani thali, which was delicious and served with care. Selected from the reviews: "You could really tell that you were staying within the fort which made it a great experience", and "They also had a lovely terraced restaurant and the evening meal I had there was delicious.

During Christmas, I stayed at a guest house that was a great value for money with friendly staff and a fantastic terrace where I could enjoy drinks and dinner. The room was clean and the bathroom was not too shabby. the guest house was situated in a key location close to the city palace, making it easy to explore the area. Another advantage was the easy access to transportation options nearby.
There were quite a few things that I didn't like. The guest house did not have air conditioning, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep during the hot nights.

We had an amazing stay at Shiva Guest House in Jaisalmer. The hotel staff made us feel like we were part of their family, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food at the hotel was delicious, and we especially loved the meals prepared by Martine, a lovely French lady who always made us laugh. Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as a lack of waste water management in the old town and some unfinished parts of the hotel, we still enjoyed our stay. The highlight of our trip was the camel safari organized by the hotel. Although we couldn't go due to illness, the owner assured us we would get a refund, but unfortunately, this promise was not kept. However, the overall experience at Shiva Guest House was great, and we would definitely recommend it to others.
